thewiringundertheboard was incorporated as a limited company in September 2002 initially for the freelance services of myself, Trevor Simmons.

I have been working as a professional programmer since 1998 and a web developer since 1999 and honed my skills during the madness of the dot-com rise and fall.

I'm based in Brighton, UK and I specialize in PHP, MySQL, XHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, JavaScript and sometimes PERL and Java, my first few years of trading were mainly centered around the development of a powerful open-source CMS (Content Management System) which was developed in collaboration with Brighton agency Nixon McInnes.

Many installations and satisfied clients later, the CMS is now on version 4 with an updated interface and is easily customisable for any needs.

My working year is divided between freelancing in the winter and working on event ticketing during the summer. I am a shareholder of G Tickets and have developed electronic gate systems which we implement at summer festivals.

I am available for hire for CMS installations or for projects using any of the technologies listed in the Technologies used section and am happy working from my own premises or in client offices.
